Bitcoin futures are next after being offered as swaps, options

Derivatives will pave the way for ETFs, although analysts say regulatory approval may take 6-12 months

Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency, has climbed to a record after an announcement by CME Group Inc that it plans to introduce bitcoin futures by the end of the year. It is now up more than sixfold this year.
