Thursday, March 31, 2016 - 13:30

CITIGROUP investment-banking veteran Tracey Woon has joined UBS, the Swiss bank said on Thursday. Ms Woon was appointed vice-chairman for UBS Wealth Management in Asia, and will join UBS in the third quarter of the year.

Ms Woon has had more than three decades of experience in the financial industry in the region, and was last the vice-chairman of Asean corporate and investment banking at Citigroup. She was at the US bank for 12 years.

"Tracey's rich investment banking experience and excellent client relationships with entrepreneurs and business owners across the region places her in an ideal position to advise ultra-wealthy clients on a wide range of financial solutions to meet their holistic financial needs whether for their investment, family or business," said Edmund Koh, head of wealth management, Asia Pacific, at UBS.

In a statement, Ms Woon said: "I have had the privilege to know and work with some of the top corporates and business owners in Singapore and the region. I am very excited by the opportunity to broaden and deepen my relationships with them to encompass not only corporate vehicles but also to help manage their holistic investment and personal wealth needs."
