IHH breaks ground for 1.36b yuan Gleneagles Shanghai hospital

This marks new phase in the 8b yuan plan to make China a home market for IHH

An artist's impression of Gleneagles Shanghai. The 450-bed general hospital, set to open in 2020, will offer a range of specialty healthcare services including cardiology, gastroenterology and minimally invasive surgery.


GLOBAL healthcare provider IHH Healthcare's new Shanghai hospital is part of its eight billion yuan (S$1.6 billion) pipeline of four hospital projects that will pave the way for Greater China to become the group's fifth home market after Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey and India.
