YCH's Robert Yap named Businessman of the Year

For his entrepreneurial spirit and farsightedness in transforming YCH Group into an integrated logistics supply chain management company, Robert Yap, the firm's executive chairman, has been named Businessman of the Year at this year's Singapore Business Awards (SBA).

Mr Yap had previously received The Enterprise Award on behalf of YCH Group at the Singapore Business Awards 2011.

The Outstanding Chief Executive of the Year award went to Piyush Gupta of DBS Group Holdings.

Mr Gupta was lauded for driving the lender's transformation into a digital bank.

Launched in 1985, the SBA is jointly organised by The Business Times and DHL Express.
