Sony to cut 1,000 jobs at Swedish mobile division

Sony, which acquired Swedish mobile maker Ericsson in 2012, relies on its Lund factory for R&D, Sony Mobile's Mr Molin said.


JAPANESE electronics giant Sony said Monday it would shed 1,000 jobs at its Swedish mobile unit as the division moves to drop over a quarter of its workforce.

The company, known for its Playstations and Xperia smartphones, will cut its total workforce in the southern town
