China says signs US$161m currency swap with Suriname

[BEIJING] China's central bank has signed a 1 billion yuan (S$225.5 million) currency swap with the Republic of Suriname, the People's Bank of China said on Wednesday.

The swap is valid for three years and is meant to encourage bilateral trade and investment, the central bank said.
