GE2015: AHPETC in dispute with former agent over payment
[SINGAPORE] The Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council (AHPETC) is in dispute with its former managing agent, FM Solutions and Services (FMSS), over payment that it claims it should receive from the town council, the Workers' Party (WP) chairman Sylvia Lim told the media on Monday.
They will enter mediation in October, she said. She would not say how much of the S$3.5 million - which FMSS claimed the town council owed them for work over three months - has been paid. But she said "substantial" payment has been made.
Her comments came after the New Paper reported on Monday that FMSS served a letter of demand to AHPETC, dated July 20. FMSS claimed this was for services between April and July 14, 2015.
Ms Lim confirmed that the town council has received the letter. She would not give further details, saying that mediation is a private matter.
