[SINGAPORE] Amy Khor of People's Action Party (PAP) and Ravi Philemon of Singapore People's Party (SPP) have filed their nomination papers to stand as candidates for Hong Kah North Single Member Constituency in the upcoming general election.
Dr Khor is the incumbent and has served the ward for 14 years. She is Senior Minister of State for Health and Manpower and is seeking a fourth term in Parliament.
She was the PAP's top electoral performer at the 2011 general election, garnering 70.6 per cent of the votes against the Singapore People's Party's Mr Sin Kek Tong.
Mr Philemon is a blogger and social worker. He quit his job as director of the volunteer welfare organisation Operation Hope Foundation as his employment contract bars him from contesting the election.
