Thai 2015 GDP growth still seen at 3.7%: finmin
[BANGKOK] Thailand's economy is still expected to grow 3.7 per cent this year, Finance Minister Sommai Phasee said on Friday.
The ministry is not revising this projection yet, he told reporters, without elaborating.
In April, the ministry cut its forecast to 3.7 per cent from 3.9 per cent.
The central bank has said it will lower its 3.8 per cent growth estimate and its new projection is due on June 19 Exports and domestic demand in Thailand has remained stubbornly weak one year after the army seized power to end political unrest.
Southeast Asia's second-largest economy grew only 0.9 per cent in 2014, the weakest pace since 2011.
