FERRARI STORE SPRING/SUMMER 2016 LIFESTYLE COLLECTION

NOT just adored for its supercars, the Prancing Horse additionally has a full-fledged fashion line to cater for its fans. This consists of men's, women's, children's and accessories lines. This season's theme takes its cue from Ferrari's legendary Gran Turismo road cars, incorporating playful elements such as the company's historical racing livery in the colour choices, a seatbelt accent for one of the handbags and engine drawings on T-shirt prints. The automotive look goes beyond the superficial; in the latter, for example, the print transfer is made using carbon fibre, lending a tactile dimension to the fabric.

ROLLS-ROYCE COCKTAIL HAMPER

Market voices on:

FANCY a tipple but miles away from civilisation? Put those plastic cups away - this mobile bar kit contains all the accoutrements you need to serve up the perfect Manhattan even if you're in fact picnicking in a meadow in the Hamptons.

Designed by Rolls-Royce's accessories studio in consultation with experts from London hotels The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane, each cocktail hamper is crafted over eight weeks from American walnut and the same fine natural-grain leather used in Rolls-Royce cars. It boasts, among other niceties, discreet drawers containing recipe cards and cotton napkins, plates for canapes, and eight platinum-rimmed tall and short glasses mouth-blown by fifth-generation family artisans at glassmaker Theresienthal. Integrated lights automatically turn on when the hamper is opened, bathing it in a warm glow that's reflected off its mirrored surfaces to evoke the aesthetics of a cocktail bar at a luxurious gentleman's club. The cocktail hamper joins a stalwart in the Rolls-Royce accessories catalogue - a picnic hamper that contains lead crystal wine glasses, flatware and silverware for a meal service for four - and is produced in a limited run of 15.

SIGNATURE TOUCH FOR BENTLEY

IT is the perfect marriage of two bastions of British luxury with Vertu's new Signature Touch for Bentley smartphone. The third product arising from their long-term partnership is packed with all the latest mod cons in a package that could be described as an objet d'art.

That's thanks to two-tone Beluga and Hotspur leather (Bentley-speak for the colours black and maroon respectively) with contrast stitching, and side keys in the same delightful knurled finish as the knobs inside one of the company's Flying Spurs or Continentals. And like a Bentley car there's a bespoke service for the phone - Vertu Made to Order - allowing more colour choices. On the technology front there's Vertu's most advanced hardware: a display touted to be the phone-maker's most vibrant yet and speakers featuring Dolby Digital Plus virtual surround sound. A unique Bentley app dishes out exclusive content such as tailored events and VIP access, provided on top of Vertu's much-lauded concierge service and Life privilege programme.

'MONTBLANC FOR BMW' SPECIAL EDITION

UP until last year Montblanc has never done brand collaborations. So when it broke the rule with a capsule collection for BMW in parallel with the launch of the Munich carmaker's 7-series flagship, people are bound to sit up and take notice. That spotlight is perhaps why it has taken the conservative approach here, with subtle embellishments - such as the figure "7" engravings on metal or "Montblanc for BMW" embossing on leather - allowing the quality of its products to take centre stage.

The collection includes the signature Meisterstuck Platinum Line LeGrand pens in a choice of nib or rollerball, two small leather goods in the form of a passport case and a business card holder, as well as a nylon document case from the Nightflight range. It is available at authorised BMW dealership Performance Motors Ltd.

AUDI SPORT RACING BIKE

LAUNCHED at January's Singapore Motorshow where it was cheekily introduced as the lightest vehicle at the fair, the Audi Sport racing bike follows the German carmaker's ethos of eking out performance through cleverly paring mass. Manufactured by the supplier of Tour de France athletes Lightweight, the bicycle is based on a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic frame that weighs a scant 790g.

But because the cross members and fork are aligned with the flow of force by design, the resulting construction is very rigid. While the frame, fork, seat post, wheel set and handlebars are all Lightweight parts, other components are sourced from the best makers in each area, such as Shimano for the brakes and pedals, and Continental for the tyres and tubes. One nice touch: the Selle Italia-branded saddle is covered in the fine nappa leather found on the seats of the Audi R8 supercar. Don't expect to see many of these bikes at your nearest park connector though. Even if you can afford the eye-watering S$31,832.50 sticker price, production is limited to only 50 worldwide.
