THE fifth Singapore Construction Productivity Week (SCPW) was held from Oct 13-16, 2015 at the Singapore Expo Max Atria and Hall 3. The annual event attracted over 6,000 industry practitioners as well as academics from around the world to share and learn about advanced construction technologies and trends in construction productivity.
This year, BCA collaborated with the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) to feature technological solutions that look to transform the built environment sector and improve productivity.
The fifth edition of BuildTech Asia (BTA), the region's leading trade show for the built environment, was also held in conjunction with SCPW. BTA 2015 featured the latest in construction technologies and materials from close to 150 exhibiting brands from over 10 countries and regions.
One new highlight at SCPW was the Skilled Builders Project that showcased a live demonstration of the construction of a Cross Laminated Timber and Glue-Laminated Timber structural module complete with architectural finishes such as curtain wall and floor finishes.
