Here are some of the projects in South-east Asia developed by Singapore companies.
Malaysia: Nusajaya Tech Park
Located within Iskandar Malaysia, just minutes from the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Expressway, Nusajaya Tech Park is an integrated eco-friendly tech park jointly developed by Ascendas and UEM Sunrise Berhad. Its close proximity to Singapore offers synergistic benefits for Singapore-based and international companies that have business links with Malaysia, particularly as Nusajaya has been earmarked as one of the five flagship zones of Iskandar Malaysia and identified as a potential location for one of the stops of the Singapore-KL high-speed rail.
Vietnam: Ascendas-Protrade Singapore Tech Park
In 2007, Ascendas teamed up with Vietnamese State-Owned Enterprise, Protrade Corporation, to develop Ascendas-Protrade Singapore Tech Park, a 500-hectare industrial park located in Ben Cat District in Binh Duong Province, north of Ho Chi Minh City. Phase 1 and 2, constituting 143 hectares of land, are completed with infrastructure works. Over 60 per cent of the available land plots are sold to date and 19 tenants have started operations.
Myanmar: i-Land Industrial Park
Since April 2014, Surbana Jurong has been working on an industrial park in Bago division, Myanmar. The i-Land Industrial Park is a 160-ha development that is strategically located 65 km from Yangon city and a 45-minute drive from the future planned Hanthawaddy International Airport project. It is slated to be a key strategic economic node as well as the first and largest integrated industrial hub in Bago Region.
