12-yr-old touches hearts in Mexico City

S'pore contingent at Spotlight Singapore Mexico City event moved to tears by Mr Lee's memory

IT was a wistful song by a 12-year-old boy that moved Singapore delegates in Mexico City to tears, as it unintentionally evoked memories of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

Corey Koh, a Secondary 1 student in Raffles Institution, is part of a 100-strong Singapore contingent at the ongoing five-day business and cultural exchange with Mexico called Spotlight Singapore Mexico City.

In his high angelic voice, he sang Somewhere from the Broadway musical West Side Story on stage at the event's opening ceremony on Monday.
