01. Place the gift on the wrapper and measure out the paper needed. The two edges should cover the gift.

02. Fold the wrapper, and leave about 5mm from the edge, and use double-sided tape on the edge of the wrapper.

03. Remove the tape and fold the edge of the wrapper over the tape.

04. Place gift on the folder wrapper,and use your fingers to estimate the width of the base.

05. Fold the wrapper (the width of your fingers) inwards, and repeat on the other side.

06. Open up the wrapper, and where the valley fold is, create a mountain fold, by creasing the paper in the opposite way.

07. Join the first crease with the mountain fold.

08. Repeat steps 7 and 8 on other side.

09. Place gift on wrapper and fold edge closest to you upwards, and create a crease.

10. Open up the side, and fold the wrapper to make a crease.

11. Repeat on other side.

12. Turn the wrapper 90-degrees clockwise, and fold down top edge of wrapper. Repeat with bottom edge of wrapper,

13. Use double-sided tape to secure the edges of wrapper. The base is now complete.

14. Place gift in the bag, and fold down the top edge to estimate height of bag and trim off excess.

15. Gather top of wrapper together.

16. Roll excess paper and cut at a 45 degree angle.

17. Unroll the cut wrapper, which now resembles a crown, and place over the crumpled top.

18. Secure the wrappers using tape, and accessorise with a ribbon.

01. Place gift at 45 degree angle to the wrapping paper, with a small corner of the gift outside of the wrapper.

02. Fold the corner of the paper closest to you upwards, and tuck in wrapper against the gift.

03. Pull the left side of the wrapper towards the gift. The crease of the wrapper should align with the corner of the gift.

04. Fold the wrapper over, making sure that the edges are all in line.

05. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the next corner.

06. Flip the gift onto its side. Tuck the wrapper towards the gift.

PAPER BAG METHOD

This is the most versatile method of wrapping, as it can be used for both geometric and odd-shaped gifts and bottles. We are using a mug here as an example. The base of the paper bag should be wide enough to fit the gift.
