Where there are no borders
ONE of the dancers will be dancing in silence, without music; one will be pushing the physical limits of the body in a duet; while yet another dancer will be using dance in a more theatrical language.
Performing in 20-minute durations, the three international dancers who are part of the international artists showcase at the M1 Contact Contemporary Dance Festival will be showcasing a wide breadth of their creativity in movement and concepts - in a collective demonstration that there are no borders in dance.
Sharon Fridman is from Israel and based in Madrid; Shintaro Oue, from Japan and based in Sweden; and Tung I-Fen is from Taiwan. While they're giving short performances, they will actually be spending more time giving technical and master classes in Singapore.
