HDB resale prices dip on declining volume in February: SRX

HDB resale prices fell 0.6 per cent in February, compared with January. Year-on-year, prices have fallen 5.7 per cent from February 2014.

HDB resale prices fell 0.6 per cent in February, compared with January. Year-on-year, prices have fallen 5.7 per cent from February 2014.

This was according to data from SRX Property released on Thursday.

The latest price drop was driven by HDB three-room, four-room and executive flats. Their resale prices fell 1.2 per cent, 0.6 per cent, and 0.4 per cent respectively. Only the resale prices for HDB five-room flats stayed unchanged from January.

Resale volume also fell 8.5 per cent to 1,148 flats sold in February, down from 1,255 transacted units in January.

But year-on-year, resale volume rose by 20.7 per cent in February, compared with just 951 units resold in February 2014.
