AHEAD of its soft opening early next year, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) said that it has confirmed 30 event bookings, a number of which are major international meetings that are expected to boost Singapore's standing in the Mice (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) industry. THE recent economic slump and H1N1 virus scare are no obstacles to Singaporeans' generosity. THE green patch above Raffles Place MRT Station was awash in a sea of yellow yesterday afternoon as acts of charity led to hundreds of sunflowers planted at the open space. Also out in force were about 2,500 people - decked out in all manner of sunflower-inspired clothes, hats and accessories - there to take part in Dover Park Hospice's inaugural charity walk from Raffles Place to Clarke Quay.
