EDBI invests in US storage vendor

Chu Swee Yeok, CEO and president of EDBI, said that as cloud adoption gains traction in Asia, companies are seeking new storage solutions that could offer cloud-like agility, scalability and cost efficiency to better manage their voluminous data.

EDBI, the investment arm of the Singapore Economic Development Board, is among the investors that have participated in the US$21.5 million Series C funding for the US firm Hedvig, which provides software-defined storage (SDS) to companies.
