Emerson sets up additive manufacturing centre

The opening is in conjunction with a five-year research collaboration with NTU

EMERSON has opened an advanced additive manufacturing centre in Singapore, three years after launching its first in Marshalltown in Iowa, US.

The centres will be actively working on research and development, and pilot production services for their businesses around the world.

David Farr, chairman and chief operating officer of Emerson, said: "This Singapore centre, along with our Marshalltown centre, will play a key role in helping Emerson move quickly to leverage the benefits of additive manufacturing to meet our customer's needs in Asia-Pacific and around the world.

"This has been a very strategic and long-term vision of ours. I think we are one of the additive manufacturing pioneers...
