KEVIN Wo will replace Jessica Tan as managing director of Microsoft Singapore with effect from Dec 31, 2016.

KEVIN Wo will replace Jessica Tan as managing director of Microsoft Singapore with effect from Dec 31, 2016.

Mr Wo will be responsible for developing and driving growth strategies for all of Microsoft's product, service and support offerings in Singapore.

Ms Tan will be leaving Microsoft to "pursue new business opportunities", said the tech giant in a media statement on Monday.

It added that Ms Tan will leave behind a "deep legacy" after her 13-year stint with Microsoft in the Asia-Pacific, having served twice as its managing director for Singapore, in addition to regional leadership roles.

She was also awarded IT Leader of the Year by the Singapore Computer Society in 2016.

Mr Wo had spent close to seven years with Avanade prior to joining Microsoft. Avanade is a provider of innovative digital and cloud services, business solutions and design-led experiences, and was last year awarded the Microsoft Country Partner of the Year for Singapore.
