Symantec to get US$1b less in cash for sale of Veritas

ANTIVIRUS software maker Symantec Corp said on Tuesday that it will receive US$1 billion less in cash for its data storage unit Veritas from Carlyle Group LP, cutting the price of the biggest leveraged buyout of 2015 after debt backing the deal failed to sell.
