GM to start building Bolt in 2016

MODEST TARGET: Despite the hype at the car's unveiling in Detroit last month, GM's all-new US$30,000 electric car will be built at a relatively modest production target of about 25,000-30,000 cars a year.


GENERAL Motors Co plans to begin building the Chevrolet Bolt, its all-new US$30,000 electric car, in October 2016 at an underused small-car plant north of Detroit, two supplier sources said.
