Investigators scramble to analyse wreckage for link to missing plane

Gendarmes and police inspecting a large piece of plane debris found on the beach in Saint-Andre, on the French Indian Ocean island of La Reunion on Wednesday. Local officials said France's civil aviation investigating authority BEA has been asked to coordinate a probe into the origin of the debris.

Mr Begue with the remain of a suitcase discovered in the same place as the plane wreckage on La Reunion. Authorities have warned against jumping to conclusions about the origin of the debris.
