Asean leaders adopt joint haze monitoring system

ASEAN leaders have agreed to adopt a joint haze monitoring system, paving the way for more cooperation between Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia in their fight against the transnational problem.

Welcoming the adoption of the Asean Sub-Regional Haze Monitoring System at the Brunei summit, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said that this was a "concrete example" of cooperation and the approval of the haze monitoring system will allow countries to implement it and track down those responsible...
