The chief executive of British insurer Aviva is stepping down from his role after six years at the helm, the company said on Tuesday.

[LONDON] The chief executive of British insurer Aviva is stepping down from his role after six years at the helm, the company said on Tuesday.

Mr Wilson, who oversaw a widespread restructuring of the company during his tenure, will be replaced temporarily by Adrian Montague while a permanent successor is appointed.

Mr Wilson will leave the group in April.
