PM Lee unveils commemorative notes to mark Singapore's Jubilee

The $50 note shows Lee Kuan Yew with his arm raised and shouting 'Merdeka!'. It also features pioneering security features such as a see-through feature that adds depth to Mr Lee's image, and an SG50 logo with 'colour switching effects'; the year toggles between '1965' and '2015'.


PRIME Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Tuesday unveiled a set of six commemorative polymer currency notes to mark Singapore's 50 years of independence. Each set of the notes, issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, is made up of a S$50 note and five S$10 notes.
