"There are issues facing SMEs today in terms of a tougher business environment due to labour shortage and cost pressure. This affects productivity and efficiency, and, ultimately, competitiveness. SMEs can benefit from additional grants to enhance their internal training programmes and equip employees with better skill sets.

In addition, the rise of e-commerce has transformed the way customers shop. SMEs will need to realign their marketing strategy to capture the exponential growth in the online space.
