A-Reit manager stresses team's bench strength after CEO's exit
Process of reviewing potential candidates for successor CEO has already started; good showing for Reit in Q2

THE manager of Ascendas Reit (A-Reit) took pains at the results briefing on Monday evening to stress that the real estate investment trust remains in good stead to continue "business as usual" with "no disruption", more than a week after the abrupt resignation of former CEO Chia Nam Toon.
Mr Chia's last day of service will be on Nov 19. He had joined the Reit for less than two years, taking over from the previous CEO Tan Ser Ping who had led the Reit for 11 years.
Most of the 15-minute question-and-answer session, attended by analysts, media and staff members, was aimed at reassuring unitholders of the "highly competent team" in place to continue the work as well as the board's provision of close supervision and support to the management …
