Asian markets falter on greenback, bond rally

Hong Kong loses 1.73 per cent to finish at a three-week low while Tokyo falls by 0.56 per cent

SINGAPORE stocks took a beating on Thursday, led by a fall in the three local banks, amid regionwide concern over a strengthening greenback and higher United States Treasury yields.

The Straits Times Index closed down on the day before by 35.81 points, or 1.1 per cent, at 3,231.59....
