Tokyo: Stocks open lower on Friday
[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Friday, tracking falls on Wall Street as weak US retail sales disappointed investors.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.65 per cent, or 136.83 points, at 21,002.88 in early trade, while the broader Topix index slipped 0.66 per cent, or 10.41 points, to 1,579.40.
