CEO and board changes at EpiCentre Holdings
APPLE products retailer Epicentre Holdings' chief executive Fong Teck Loon has resigned from the company, and will be replaced in the interim by Lim Tiong Hian, who has been re-designated as executive chairman and acting CEO.
These changes took effect on Sunday.
Mr Fong, 51, was appointed to the top seat in April 2002. He decided to relinquish his position after selling his shares in the company, said the firm, and there was mutual agreement between the board and him to shorten the notice period of his last day of service to July 31.
Mr Lim, 41, was previously an executive director for Sino Construction Ltd. He joined Epicentre as a non-executive chairman and director on June 24 this year.
In the announcement in the afternoon, the company also said that Giang Sovann has been appointed chairman of the company's remuneration committee. This took effect from the same day as well.
