SUNTEC Reit's manager ARA Trust Management (Suntec) announced on Wednesday that Chan Kong Leong has resigned as CEO and executive director of the manager, with his last day of service on Dec 31.
He will be replaced by former OUE Hospitality Reit Management CEO Chong Kee Hiong, appointed with effect from Jan 1.
John Lim, ARA Group CEO and non-executive director of the manager, thanked Mr Chan for his "invaluable contribution" to Suntec Reit.
He said: "Under his leadership, Kong Leong had significantly strengthened the performance of both the retail and office business and I wish him success in his future endeavours."
Mr Lim also welcomed onboard incoming CEO Mr Chong, whom he said will lead Suntec Reit into the next phase of growth due to his qualification and experience in the real estate sector.
Mr Chong was CEO of OUE Hospitality Reit Management from June 2013 to July 2018. Before that, he was CEO of The Ascott Limited from February 2012 to May 2013, where he was responsible for determining the overall business, investment and operational strategies. Prior to that role, he was CEO of Ascott Residence Trust Management Limited from 2005 to 2012.
