Falling oil prices hit M'sian oil & gas stocks

MALAYSIAN oil and gas stocks were hammered in a frenzy of selling on Wednesday as fears over sliding global oil prices persuaded investors to flee the counters.

Global oil prices have slumped nearly 20 per cent since June as oil markets grapple with slowing demand from China, Japan and the eurozone amid rising supply due to increasing US shale oil production.
