Invest Fair to return as physical event; feature topics on borderless investing

INVEST Fair, an annual investment event organised by ShareInvestor, is set to return on Aug 27 as a physical event for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic.*

This year's event is themed "Investing in this Borderless Era", and will be held in exhibition hall 404 at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre. Admission to the event is free.

ShareInvestor expects the theme will resonate well with the investing community, which uses technology to trade products across markets at any time, and given pent-up demand for ideas and strategies, in an increasingly complex investing environment.

Speakers will cover topics such as rising interest rates and unprecedented inflation globally at the event.

Keynote speakers include Leonard Tay, head of research at Knight Frank Singapore, who will speak on the wealth report and Singapore luxury homes, and David Kuo, co-founder of The Smart Investor, who will speak about picking shares for all economic conditions.

Paul Chew, head of research at Phillip Securities Research, will also speak on investing in inflationary times.

There will be a panel discussion on the Straits Times Index, which will include panellists from SGX, FTSE Russell, State Street Global Advisors and Societe Generale.

There will also be a panel discussion on investing in uncertain times, featuring Song Seng Wun, director of CIMB Private Banking; Suan Teck Kin, head of research and executive director of global economics and markets research at UOB; and Terence Wong, founder and chief executive of Azure Capital.

In addition, this year's event will feature webinars by companies including Moomoo Singapore, Tiger Brokers, TD Ameritrade Singapore and UOB Asset Management.

Christopher Lee, chief executive of ShareInvestor Group, said: "This year's line-up of top tier speakers, insightful panel discussions, innovative product exhibitors and generous lucky draws promises to make it an even more enjoyable as well as educationally enriching event."

* Amendment note: A previous version of this article said Invest Fair will be held as a hybrid event, when it is in fact a physical event. The article has been amended to reflect this change.
