IPS Securex lands US$1.2m airport bird deterrent contract
IPS Securex has clinched a US$1.16 million contract to deliver an integrated radar surveillance and bird strike deterrent solution for airport security environments.
The customer is a government-linked entity in South-east Asia, said IPS Securex, a Catalist-listed provider of security solutions. Delivery is expected within the next six months.
The order is a "culmination of months of work in planning and marketing an integrated radar surveillance and bird strike deterrent solution to meet our customer's needs", IPS Securex group chief executive said in a press statement.
"We will build up our project track record for this solution as we reach out to other airports in Asia," he said.
The contract is not expected to materially affect earnings per share or net tangible assets per share for the year ending June 30, 2019.
Shares of IPS Securex traded at five Singapore cents, down 9.1 per cent or half a cent, before the contract was announced during the midday trading break.
