S'pore agri trader buys Canadian processing plant

SINGAPORE agri-commodity trading company Agrocorp International is buying a grain handling plant in Canada, expanding its presence there further.
Agrocorp, which has a revenue of US$1.9 billion, is buying Veikle Grain, located in the town of Cut Knife in northern Saskatchewan, for S$10 million. The plant processes specialty crops, mainly pulses, for the Chinese and South Asian market.
