Opec, Russia in diplomatic push for oil-cuts deal

Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran still at odds over how to share output cuts; Russia to hold talks with Opec officials in Doha

As Opec members work to secure a deal, an Algerian delegation is on a visit to Saudi Arabia. Algeria and Qatar were the architects of previous attempts this year to reach a deal to limit oil supply.


THE Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) embarked on a final diplomatic effort to secure an oil-cuts deal, with its top official heading on a tour of member states as Russia scheduled informal talks in Doha this week with nations including Saudi Arabia.
