BOJ delays timing of inflation target

THE Bank of Japan's (BOJ) Policy Board opted on Friday to keep policy unchanged despite expectations that it might ease again in the face of having to delay the timing for achieving the central bank's widely challenged target of 2 per cent annual growth in consumer prices.
