Beijing launches anti-dumping investigation into the imports following complaints from China producers; Singapore's MTI monitoring probe

Methionine producers in Singapore include German specialty chemicals giant Evonik Industries, which opened its first methionine plant on Jurong Island in 2014; a second plant is set to be operational this year, doubling Evonik's Singapore production capacity to 300,000 metric tons per year.


CHINA'S Ministry of Commerce said on Wednesday that it has launched an anti-dumping investigation of methionine imports from Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.
