France tackles security, floods, strikes head on

Members of the special intervention unit of the French police taking part in a terrorist attack exercise on May 31 near the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. France has said it will deploy more than 90,000 police and security guards for Euro 2016, and vowed to do everything possible to forestall a terrorist attack during the football tournament.


THE eyes and ears of the world will be on France for an entire month from Friday, as the country hosts the latest edition of the European Football Championships.
