Osborne upgrades UK growth outlook ahead of election

"We set out a plan, that plan is working and Britain is walking tall again," Mr Osborne told lawmakers.


THE UK economy will grow 2.5 per cent this year and 2.3 per cent in 2016, Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne said in his final budget before the May 7 election as he sought to make the case for a second term for his Tory party.
