Sentosa CEO Mike Barclay to leave on Sept 30
SENTOSA Development Corp chief executive Mike Barclay will leave after Sept 30 to return to the private sector, the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) said on Monday.
Mr Barclay would have completed his seven-year tenure upon his departure.
Deputy CEO Low Tien Sio will be the acting chief from Oct 1 until the new CEO is appointed.
Mr Barclay joined Sentosa in 2008 and was last reappointed for a two-year extension in 2013. He is credited with leading the development of a strategic business framework that set the direction for Sentosa as a leisure destination.
"Under Mike's leadership, Sentosa has developed new and exciting attractions and offerings which have positioned the island resort as a leading leisure destination for locals and tourists alike," MTI permanent secretary Ow Foong Pheng said in a statement. "I thank Mike for his years of service and wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
