Developing potential in tourism

Kazakhstan, as the world's ninth largest country, contains a wide variety of national parks and stunning landscapes from high mountains to deserts; the Manshuk Mametova glacier, about 3,550m above sea level, in the mountains of Tien Shan outside Almaty.

THE investment climate for tourism in Kazakhstan is looking increasingly good with abundant opportunities. Tourism industry development is expected to attract up to US$6 billion in private investment in this sector by 2020, according to the best case scenario forecasts.
