[SINGAPORE] Smaller and more focused IT projects will feature prominently in this fiscal year's $1.2 billion worth of government infocomm tenders. The areas in which tenders will be called include cybersecurity, infrastructure, system development and maintenance, data and analytics, cloud and mobile services.

At the annual industry briefing on infocomm initiatives in the public sector yesterday, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore's (IDA) Chan Cheow Hoe said the IDA would be looking at co-sourcing models where the industry would be partners in helping the government develop capabilities and solutions.

Mr Chan, who is IDA's assistant chief executive and government CIO (chief information officer), added that a multi-modal approach would used to accommodate innovation and to respond nimbly to complex demands for public services.
