ROYAL Dutch Shell intends to bring two new female members - including Singaporean Euleen Goh - to its board of directors, which currently counts only Linda Stuntz among its 12 directors.

The oil giant indicated this as it announced sharply-lower Q4 and full-year earnings over the weekend, following its earlier profit warning last month, with new CEO Ben van Beurden now suspending its Arctic drilling programme under a multi-billion dollar scaleback and streamlining of the group's operations.

Shell's single-tier board is chaired by non-executive chairman Jorma Ollila, with its executive management led by Mr van Beurden. The board meets regularly to discuss reviews and reports on the group's business and plans.
