LEADING up to the SCPW, a panel of local and international experts from the built environment industry met to discuss ways to improve construction productivity in Singapore.

In particular, the meeting of the third International Panel of Experts (IPE) on Construction Productivity and Prefabrication Technology held on Oct 9 and 10 sought to review Singapore's Construction Productivity Roadmap. The panel was made up of 12 local and seven overseas experts from developers, consultants, builders, public agencies and academia.

"We have plucked the low-hanging fruits and the next step requires a bigger change in terms of our mindset and the way we work," said John Keung, CEO of BCA, and one of four co-chairmen of the IPE.
