Infrastructure, banking to receive financial boost
KAZAKHSTAN'S Nurly Zhol policy, recently announced by President Nursultan Nazarbayev has been hailed as a far-sighted and prudent one that takes into consideration global economic realities.
First articulated in the president's state of the nation address for this year, the policy advocates bold steps to continue structural reforms and reduce the reliance on extractive industries.
This has already proven its value given the recent market trend of lower oil prices. "The policy will have a counter-cyclical character and will be aimed at continuing structural reforms in our economy," said Mr Nazarbayev.
