BT: There is an increasing trend of many MICE-related companies going to trade fairs all over the world, looking for new venues and destinations. What are your views about the recent changes in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) industry in Korea?

Ms Shim: The Korea MICE Bureau has been focusing solely on convention businesses for the past 20 years. However, the tourism landscape has changed; business meetings and incentive trips are taking the lead, in particular from emerging markets such as China.
