Integrated Shield Plan insurers move to retain policyholders

[SINGAPORE] A price war among the five insurers offering Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) here is brewing.

In an e-mail reply, NTUC Income said that it is "committed to not increasing premiums for the top-up portion for all IPs", for both public and private hospitals for a year after MediShield Life kicks in, while Aviva has rolled out a discount for new IP customers and existing clients under its regular marketing promotion.

AIA and Prudential have declined comment, while Great Eastern Life reiterated...
