THE Business Times Corporate Golf League is a competition that allows endless possibilities for business collaborations.

That is why Formwerkz, an architectural practice that is passionate and dedicated to seeking solutions that improves the physical world, seized the chance when offered to be a sponsor for the annual event.

"The BT Golf League was introduced to us by The Business Times as a business-golfing networking platform. Even if we are not golfing ourselves, we are glad to contribute our part by being a sponsor of this league," said Delane Lim, the company's executive director.

"We are happy with the management of the league and we can use this platform to position ourselves as a one-stop solution architect for companies that participate in the league," he added.

Mr Lim said that the networking sessions during the event have resulted in many contacts that the company have transformed into business leads.

"We will definitely continue to support this event and hope that in the future, there will be more intentional and sectorial pre- and post-league networking sessions," said Mr Lim.

Formwerkz's design approach is centred in human experiences and prioritises projects that effect the most positive impact.

Recently, the company partnered Singtel to showcase a frictionless retail experience using facial recognition-entry and gesture-based payment technologies.

This partnership was launched as part of Singtel's FutureNow Innovation Centre, and the event was graced by Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat.

For the league, Formwerkz is the cash and digital lucky draw system sponsor to the tune of S$26,200.

Ahead of the fourth leg at the Seletar Country Club on Thursday, debutants Proelect top the table with 320 points, four points ahead of the fancied Team Boss.

Lying third are defending champions Team Boustead on 309 points, while Emerio rest in fourth place on 304 points in the 11-team competition.

The remaining two legs in the five-legs-to-count unique event will be staged at Warren Golf and Country Club (Sept 5) and Tanah Merah Country Club Garden course (Sept 21).
